At Twin Cities Shed Solutions, we pride ourselves on making some of the highest quality sheds that money can buy. Here's a few features of our sheds that make that a reality:
Onsite Construction
We build our sheds onsite so you don't have
to worry about taking down part of your fence
or your lawn getting damaged from being driven on.
Solid Blocks
Our sheds are leveled out using solid cement blocks
so the shed does not make direct contact with the
ground. Doing this increases the life of the shed by
many years
Floor Construction
For our floor we use 4x4 pressure treated skids which
allows the shed to be movable and also increases the
strength of the floor and prevents flexing. We also use
pressure treated 2x6s for the floor joist for all sheds were
as a lot of other companies use 2x4s. The floor joists are
spaced 16'' on center and cover with 3/4-inch sub floor
that is rated for 24'' on center joists.
2x4 Framing
We frame our shed walls and trusses with top choice
lumber that is hand selected.
Siding
We use LP smartside with the wood grain texture and
8'' on center grooves. This siding comes primed from the
manufacturer. You can paint it yourself when we're finished
or we can paint your shed the color of your choice for an
additional cost. Sorry we do not offer vinyl, hardie board, or metal
siding at this time.
Vents
All sheds come with a pair of aluminum vents. Vents
can be upgraded to vinyl vents for an additional cost.
Roof Overhang and Pitch
Sheds come with a 4'' overhang on all 4 sides. Overhang
can be upgraded to 6'' for an additional cost. Gable Sheds
come standard with a 5/12 pitch and can be upgraded up
to a 8/12 pitch. Lean-to sheds come with a 3/12 pitch.
Shingles
We use GAL architectural shingles. We have 6 standard
colors to choose from but we do try to match the color of
our customers homes but we do not guarantee a perfect
match. We also use a synthetic underlayment (not tar
paper) and install aluminum drip edges on all sheds.
Sorry we do not offer metal roofs at this time.
Maintenance Free Trim
If you haven't seen any older sheds the first thing to go
bad is almost always the trim. It can start to rot and fall
apart within a few years if not taken care of. We've
eliminate this problem by using PVC trim boards. The
trim doesn't have to be painted ever and will never rot.
This trim also has the same wood grain texture look
as the siding for a great finish look.
