Frequently Asked Questions

Will I need to get a building permit?

In most cities a permit is not required for sheds that are 200 square feet or less, but a zoning permit may be required. If nether a permit or zoning permit is required there are still requirements for each city as to how tall a shed can be, where the shed can be placed on your property, and how far of a setback is required. Most cities require a 5-foot set back. This information can usually be found online by looking up Accessory Building Requirements along with your city or zip code. Customers are responsible for obtaining any permits needed and checking their local requirements regarding sheds. If you are having trouble finding this information, we will try our best to help you find this information.

Does the price include delivery?

All our sheds are built on site so there is no delivery charge. There is a travel fee when the location is more than 30 miles from Saint Paul, MN. If you are more than 30 miles, please contact us before booking by going to our contact page and send us a message with your address and number and what size shed you want built so we can get you a more accurate travel fee.

Does the price include floor and roofing?

YES. We get asked this question quite often because there are a lot of shed kits that are sold without a floor and/or shingles. We do not sell a kit. Our sheds are built from scratch and with high quality materials. When we are finished building your shed you will be able to start loading it up right away.

How long does a shed take to build?

This really depends on the size of the shed and what option you want added, but most sheds take 2 or 3 days to build.

Do you travel?

We will travel but there will be traveling fees past 30 miles from Saint Paul. Please contact us before booking.  For further out jobs we may require a deposit to cover most of the material cost to have delivered to your property.

How far out are you booked?

You can check our availability by going to the Book Your Shed page and once you hit schedule, a calendar will open and then you'll be able to look at future dates that are available to book.
